BCMB 459 - Biophysical Crystallography3 Credit Hours Theories and practices of X-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction and neutron scattering to elucidate the structure of nucleic acids, proteins, nucleosomes, ribosomes and viruses. Application of 3-D structures in designing drugs against AIDS, cancer, cardiac disease and neurodegenerative disorders.
Recommended Background: BCMB 401 , or two 300-level chemistry courses or PHYS 240, or consent of instructor.
