SPED 420N - Practical Teaching in Special Education I4 Credit Hours This course is designed to provide an in-depth field experience in teaching K-12 students with disabilities. Teacher candidates will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction under the guidance of a mentoring teacher. This course will include (a) planning, instruction, and assessment based on needs of students with disabilities, (b) implementation of special education high-leverage practices, and (c) use of research-based strategies to engage students and maintain and facilitate appropriate behavior.
