Information Sciences Major, BS in Information Sciences – Applied Data Analytics and User Experience Concentration

This online-only concentration is designed for students interested in careers in computer, information and communications technology. Information sciences concerns the ethics and impact of data, information, and technology on individuals, organizations, and society. Students will gain knowledge and skills in information management, user experience research and user-centered design, database development and implementation, and data visualization. It is specifically designed for transfer students. Students who have an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Fine Arts (A.F.T), Associate of Science (A.S.), or Associate of Science in Teaching degree (A.S.T). from a Tennessee accredited community college may complete the Applied Data Analytics and User Experience Concentration as an Information Sciences distance education student.

uTrack Requirements

Universal Tracking (uTrack) is an academic monitoring system designed to help students stay on track for timely graduation. In order to remain on track, students must complete the minimum requirements for each tracking semester, known as milestones. Milestones include successful completion of specified courses and/or attainment of a minimum GPA. uTrack requirements only affect full-time, degree-seeking students.
