Environmental Engineering Minor

Return to: Tickle College of Engineering
The Tickle College of Engineering offers a minor in environmental engineering to those undergraduate students whose academic history provides the prerequisites for the courses required by the minor. Some of the courses used in the minor may also satisfy a requirement for a major. Students are advised that the first professional degree in environmental engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is the Master of Science with a major in environmental engineering which builds on the minor.

Minor Requirements
The minor requires the completion of a minimum of 21 credits in coursework which builds the foundation of an environmental engineering perspective. Advising
Students are asked to file their intent to complete the Environmental Engineering Minor with the office of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, 325 John D. Tickle Engineering Building. The student’s home department advisor will then be supplied with the information about the Minor requirements to assist with prerequisite sequencing. CEE Advisor will enter the minor onto the student profile in Banner. This will allow the minor to be shown on the student’s transcript.
