The Clinic has two components: (1) the classroom component of the Clinic, in which students will attend classes that will involve reading assignments, traditional lectures, speakers, simulations, and discussion to prepare for the live- client mediations; and (2) the experiential component, during which student will observe and co-mediate cases with experienced family mediators in the Knox County Juvenile General Sessions Court and scheduled appearances in other settings. The Clinic satisfies Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31’s training requirements (only) for certification as a family mediator. Registration Restriction(s): Law students only.
