ECE 481 - Power Electronics3 Credit Hours Introduction to the analysis, design, and control of switched-mode power conversion circuits. These circuits, including dc-dc converters, ac-dc rectifiers, dc-ac inverters, have wide applications in power supplies, vehicular electronics, and renewable energy. Techniques for high efficiency circuit design, device and passive implementation, and closed-loop regulation are covered.
(RE) Prerequisite(s): ECE 316 with a grade of C or better, and ECE 325 with a grade of C or better. (DE) Prerequisite(s): ECE 336 .
