INSC 680 - Information Science Theory3 Credit Hours
Intensive study of theories of information including the definitions of information, information sciences, and information technology. Focus on the intersection of theory and information representation, retrieval, and transfer; theories of human behavior, organizational behavior and information; standards and technologies for information processing and distribution, bibliometrics and infometrics; exploration of relationships with theories of other disciplines.
