NURS 310 - Essentials of Nursing Practice

3 Credit Hours
History, philosophy, and scope of nursing practice with emphasis on the holism of persons, standards for professional practice, assessing for health risk factors, patient centered communication, therapeutic interventions, and critical thinking as key elements in the use of the nursing process. Clinical laboratory experiences provide opportunity for the application of these processes in the care of adults in selected health care settings.
