Addiction Counseling Minor

The addiction counseling undergraduate minor prepares learners for engagement as a Level 1 Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC). The certificate includes coursework in counseling skills alongside three sequential courses (270 content hours) that directly map to eight required LADAC competency domains including assessment, treatment planning, pharmacology, and specialized populations. The rural focus addresses an underserved specialty area not covered in existing programs.
