Landscape Architecture Studies Minor

The Minor in Landscape Architecture Studies is open to students from any discipline across the University of Tennessee, Knoxville interested in enhancing their major field of study with a greater understanding of the practices being used in contemporary landscape architecture and design. Students will receive a broad introduction to key concepts, processes, and techniques, as well as the evolving role of landscape architecture and landscape design as they seek to engage global issues of sustainability, environmental justice, anthropogenic climate change, and more. The 3 required lecture-based core classes are coupled with a selection of classes from across several colleges that complement the focus within the minor.

Students must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA and be a declared major outside of the School of Landscape Architecture to undertake the minor. Application to the minor is available via the online minor form for the College of Architecture and Design.

Students must successfully complete the following requirements (15 hours).

The minor requires the completion of a minimum of 15 credits.
