The Nutrition major is designed for students interested in basic and applied sciences, and students are able to pursue one of three concentrations: the Biomedical Nutrition Science Concentration, the Community Nutrition Concentration, or the Dietetics Concentration. This concentration also prepares students for careers as laboratory technicians, research assistants, technical consultants, and sales representatives in the biomedical and nutrition industries. Additional coursework may be is necessary to meet health professional program prerequisites and integration of this coursework should be coordinated closely with the academic advisor and/or pre-health advising as these requirements will vary by program. Students completing this track are not eligible to apply to any ACEND-accredited supervised practice programs.
