Exercise Physiology Minor

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences

Exercise Physiology involves the study of how living organisms adapt to exercise, both in terms of the acute responses that occur during a single exercise bout and the long-term adaptations to chronic exercise training. The Exercise Physiology graduate program at the University of Tennessee has an applied, human focus, as opposed to some other programs that focus on the genetic, molecular, or cellular mechanisms of exercise training. This minor could appeal to students in nutrition, public health, or the biological sciences.
