    • Industrial Engineering IE 483  
    • Mechanical Engineering ME 483  or
    • Nuclear Engineering NE 483  and
  • Select one graduate course from
  • Select two graduate elective courses from a list of courses provided by the participating departments
    • Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE)
    • Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (ECE)
    • Industrial and Systems Engineering (IE)
    • Mechanical, Aerospace, and Biomedical Engineering (AE, BME, ME)
    • Nuclear Engineering (NE)

The selection of elective graduate courses is determined through an advising conference with each individual student, and is based on the student’s personal interests, academic background, and work experience.

Non-Course Requirements

To receive the certificate, students must:
1) complete the Graduate Certificate Course Verification Form (located on the Graduate School webpage under the Forms Central tab) and
2) through MyUTK, apply to graduate from the certificate program.
