The concentration in Jewish studies offers a course of study that treats Judaism as a historically evolving and culturally specific enterprise. The concentration explores Jewish culture, religion and heritage through literature, philosophy and history. A multi-disciplinary combination of courses permits critical reflection about topics and issues in a world civilization and cross-cultural context.

Concentration Requirements
The concentration consists of at least 30 hours, distributed as follows. Complete REST 381 - Judaism */ JST 381 - Judaism * and at least 18 credit hours must be from part A. Up to 9 credit hours for the major may be from part B. At the discretion of the Director of Jewish Studies, other courses with sufficient Jewish content may be used to satisfy the major. Up to 6 credit hours may be from the 200 level.
