Students concentrating in comparative literature are strongly encouraged to acquire a working knowledge of a second foreign language, especially if they hope to pursue comparative literature on the graduate level.

Comparative Literature Concentration
The concentration in comparative literature consists of 27 hours.

Note: The following 9 hours should include at least two of the following departments – Classics, English, Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, and Religious Studies. Certain courses in philosophy, theatre, and interdisciplinary programs may be substituted with the approval of the chairperson of the comparative literature program. |
