NURS 482 - Population Health

3 Credit Hours
Students acquire evidence-based knowledge essential for promoting and managing health across individuals, families, communities, and populations. Emphasis is placed on understanding the impact of social drivers/determinants of health, cultural and global perspectives, and environmental factors on health outcomes. Students will analyze data from reliable sources, apply principles of epidemiology, and assess how health care policy and public policy shape population health. The course also explores the diverse roles of nurses in community and public health settings, fostering an understanding of ethical and professional responsibilities in delivering equitable, high-quality care.
