POLS 431 - United States Constitutional Law: Civil Rights and Liberties

3 Credit Hours
Current issues in civil rights and liberties, including first amendment freedoms, equal protection, privacy, and the rights of the accused. With a writing focus, this course requires a student to complete at least 2,000 words of writing during the semester. This normally consists of at least one sustained formal essay or report of 1,000 or more words, plus additional writing assignments such as in-class essay exams, journals, book reviews, short-response papers, and the like.
