PLSC 434 - Vegetable Crops3 Credit Hours
Fundamental principles of biology and culture of warm and cool season vegetables, including morphology, physiology, distribution, utilization, propagation, production systems, harvesting, and storage and processing. Methods of vegetable crop disease management including cultural practices, resistance, chemical, and biological control.
Contact Hour Distribution: 2 hours lecture and one 2-hour lab.
Recommended Background: PLSC 210 * or working familiarity with general principles and practices of horticulture.
