MUCO 400 - Graduate Musicology Review3 Credit Hours
Explores traditions of western art music as cultural practices, interweaving discussion of major disciplinary debates within subfields of music studies. Includes study of sounding, formal and technical properties of music, their social and cultural meanings, and investigations of their historical contexts. Primarily intended as a review for graduate students.
Grading Restriction: Letter grade only.
Credit Restriction: Does not count toward graduate credit.
