EEPS 101 - The Dynamic Earth4 Credit Hours In this course, we will discover the physical processes that act within and on Earth, including the formation and destruction of minerals and rocks; the risks and occurrence of volcanoes and earthquakes; and how mountains are built and eroded. Plate tectonics will provide the context of our investigations. Human use of geological resources, and the consequences, will also be highlighted.
Satisfies Volunteer Core Requirement: (NS) Satisfies General Education Requirement through the 2021-2022 academic catalog: (NS) Contact Hour Distribution: 3 hours lecture and one 2-hour lab or field period.
