ANTH 320 - American Cultures3 Credit Hours
Anthropological perspectives on cultural diversity in America, including the immigrant experience and expressions of ethnicity, intercultural relations, occupational and interest group subcultures. With a writing focus, this course requires a student to complete at least 2,000 words of writing during the semester. This normally consists of at least one sustained formal essay or report of 1,000 or more words, plus additional writing assignments such as in-class essay exams, journals, book reviews, short-response papers, and the like.
