SOWK 633 - Professional Development for Social Work Scholars

3 Credit Hours
Prepares social work doctoral students for successful completion of the doctoral program and for successful careers as social work scholars. The course will cover the topics of goal-setting, dissertation progression, preparing professional statements and career materials, navigating the academic job-market and tenure-track career, understanding the academy, engaging with diverse mentors and research partners, and research ethics.
Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
