ECE 682 - Power Electronics Technologies3 Credit Hours Survey of practical design details in the realization of power electronic circuits followed by design-oriented, hands-on laboratory work in the realization of advanced power electronics. Topics include topology investigation, power transistor selection and characterization, modulation schemes, control realization, and EMI compliance. Topics covered through design and realization of a functioning power conversion system. Repeatability: May be repeated. Maximum of 6 hours. Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate. Registration Permission: Consent of instructor.
