LAW 504 - Introduction to Legal Reasoning and Communication2-3 Credit Hours Introduces non-JD students to the process of legal reasoning and communication. Topics include: (1) critical reading and understanding of legal authorities; (2) synthesis of legal authorities; (3) recognition of legal issues; (4) legal research; (5) legal analysis; and (6) legal communication, including the drafting of memoranda and oral communication. Grading Restriction: A-F (letter grade) only. Repeatability: Not repeatable. May be taken once for 2 or 3 hours. Registration Restriction(s): Limited to students enrolled in master’s level programs offered by or in conjunction with the College of Law. Not available to JD students.
