MGT 580 - Project Management3 Credit Hours Project Management is increasingly important in today’s world. Will cover the fundamental concepts and applied tools and techniques needed for the efficient and effective management of projects. Explores the role of the project manager and the project management knowledge areas as defined by the Project Management Institute including project integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management. Will incorporate guest speakers from various industries and will challenge students to apply course material to real-world projects. Students completing 580, will have fulfilled the required classroom hours to take the CAPM or PMP exam. Registration Permission: Admission to Management and Human Resources Major (MS),or permission of instructor.
