CE 557 - Transportation Policy and Economics3 Credit Hours An overview of US transportation policy development, regulations, institutions, and finance mechanisms for surface transportation. Behavioral and microeconomic concepts related to transportation, including firm and consumer behavioral theory and application, pricing and regulatory strategies to shift behavior to meet welfare objectives. How transportation policy is developed and how economic principles shape transportation systems. Recommended Background: Economics 201 or equivalent. Registration Restriction(s): Graduate or senior undergraduate standing.
