ENVE 655 - Environmental Systems Biology3 Credit Hours Inter-disciplinary study of complex interactions from the molecular level (i.e., molecules) up to and including the ecosystem level (e.g., nutrient cycling models). Hands-on analysis and system integration of ‘omics’ data will be emphasized. Discussion topics will include metabolic and kinetic interactions, signaling networks, control theory, and modeling approaches leading to predictions. Recommended Background: Previous coursework in microbiology or environmental microbiology. Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
