GERM 324 - Animal Stories3 Credit Hours Incorporates short texts and films from the late eighteenth century through the twenty-first century to examine how adult versions of children’s stories use animal protagonists to explore particular elements of human life: science or knowledge, politics, freedom, subjectivity, or emotion and love. Focus is on building vocabulary and familiarity with linguistic structures, as well as developing analytic thinking and writing skills. Readings and discussions in German. Writing-emphasis course.
(RE) Prerequisite(s): GERM 212 or GERM 223 or placement by departmental exam.
