PHYS 421 - Modern Optics

4 Credit Hours
Transmission of light in uniform, isotropic media, reflection and transmission at interfaces. Mathematics of wave motion and interference effects. Rudiments of Fourier optics and holography.
Contact Hour Distribution: 3 hours and 3 labs.
(RE) Prerequisite(s): 136 or 138 or 232 or 431.
