LAW 813 - Evidence4 Credit Hours Introduces students to the full range of rules governing the admission and exclusion of testimony, documents, and other tangible evidence. In addition to studying the codified rules related to relevance, impeachment, hearsay, opinion testimony, authentication, privileges, and presumptions, the course also deals with the mechanics of proof including the role of the judge and the jury, the proper form of making and preserving objections, and the order and burdens of proof in criminal and civil trials. Will include a problem methodology, applying the evidence rules to hypothetical civil and criminal cases. (RE) Corequisite(s): 920 for students electing concentration in advocacy. Registration Restriction(s): Law students only.
