PUBH 611 - Leadership in Public Health1 Credit Hours Leadership theory applied to public health practice, with a particular focus on the distinction – and overlap – between leadership and management. Identification of personal leadership skills and gaps in ability to apply leadership theory to practice through personal leadership assessments, mentoring from local leaders in practice, and skill-building exercises. Additional emphasis on leadership for planning process and organizational change. A required course in the DrPH curriculum. Grading Restriction: Satisfactory/No Credit grading only. Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
