ANSC 100 - Orientation to Animal Science1 Credit Hours An introduction to the major and culture of Animal Science. History of animal science, IACUC, animal welfare, animal care guidelines, expectations and background preparation for working with animals. Discussion of student responsibilities, opportunities for internship, study abroad, undergraduate research, and other career development within Animal Science. Students must complete ANSC 100 with a grade of C or better to remain in the major of Animal Science.
Contact Hour Distribution: 1 hour lecture. Grading Restriction: A, B, C, No Credit grading only. Registration Restriction(s): Restricted to animal science majors only. Registration Permission: Department permission required.
