SPED 456 - Effective Instruction of Students with Learning Disabilities and Other High Incidence Disabilities3 Credit Hours Determining and implementing best practices in instruction, both remediation and accommodation strategies, for students with learning disabilities. Emphasis is placed on language-based disabilities, dyslexia, math disabilities, comorbid disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Asperger’s Syndrome. Assessment of cognitive and academic skills and response to intervention (RTI) are addressed.
