MSE 370 - Materials Processing

3 Credit Hours
Application of fundamentals of mass and energy balances, mechanics, heat and mass transfer, and chemical thermodynamics and kinetics to the processing of materials and manufacturing of products. A wide range of materials (metals, ceramics, polymers), geometries (bulk, fibers, films, coatings), and processes (casting, molding, extrusion, forging, powder processing, coating techniques, etc.) are studied as examples of processing technologies.
