HIST 361 - History of Modern Latin America since 18103 Credit Hours Focuses on the history of a specific region in Latin America (the Andes, the Southern Cone, Brazil or Mexico) from independence to modern times. Explores the political and economic themes of nationhood as well as the socio-economic and political dimensions of race, class, ethnicity, and gender. Writing-emphasis course.
