Ethnomusicology Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Ethnomusicology approaches music from interdisciplinary perspectives, with an awareness of cultural contexts and human experiences in music making. It encompasses musical practices across a variety of traditions and cultural contexts, fostering global awareness and cultural sensitivity.
Eligibility
- Open to students from all disciplines.
- For those pursuing the add-on certificate, six credits toward the student’s primary degree may also count toward the certificate.
- Students may take up to six graduate credit hours of certificate classes before making formal application to the Ethnomusicology Certificate.
- Once admitted to the certificate, students must maintain a graduate GPA of at least 3.00.
