The Haslam Leadership Scholars Minor is designed to deliver key knowledge, skills, experiences, and dispositions needed for students to develop their capacity as leaders to address complex issues in Tennessee and beyond.

Eligibility
The Haslam Leadership Scholars minor is reserved for students in Haslam Leadership Scholars (HALS). Admission to HALS is available only to entering first-year students. Highly accomplished students with demonstrated commitment to leadership, service, and civic engagement and who aspire to leverage their leadership to enrich the lives of the people and communities across the state of Tennessee and beyond are strongly encouraged to apply. Four-course sequence to build knowledge and skills in leadership practice.
Experiential Learning
Three-course cluster that provide experiences designed to foster leadership capacity and life-career readiness.
Communication Enhancement
- Vol Core approved Honors Written Communication (WC) (3 credit hours)
- Vol Core approved Honors Oral Communication (OC) or Applied Oral Communication (AOC) (3 credit hours)
