The Honors Greek concentration consists of 30 hours. The student must maintain a minimum B+ average in Greek language courses and a minimum cumulative B+ average at UT. In strict consultation with a departmental advisor, the student pursuing Honors in Greek will select 9 non-language hours from among the courses below, of which 6 must be in courses numbered 300 or higher. In total, the student must take a minimum of 15 hours of Honors courses, not all of which need to be in the major subject area. These 15 hours include 3 thesis hours (CLAS 498). The student will present an Honors thesis (CLAS 498) which must receive a grade of B+ or higher to permit graduation with Honors.
