ANSC 320 - Reproductive Physiology and Lactation3 Credit Hours Biology of sex and sexual differentiation, functional anatomy of male and female, reproduction and lactation, gametogenesis, neuroendocrinology and endocrinology of reproduction and lactation, sex cycles, folliculogenesis, ovulation, spermatogenesis, fertilization, embryonic development, implantation, pregnancy, parturition, initiation of lactation and maintenance of the dry period, artificial control of reproduction and lactation.
(Same as Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology 320.) Contact Hour Distribution: 2 hours and 1 lab. (RE) Prerequisite(s): 220 or Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology 230 or 440 or consent of instructor. Recommended Background: Introductory animal or human physiology course.
