CE 664 - Experimental Methods in Structural Engineering3 Credit Hours Methods, techniques, and equipment used in physical experiments related to structural engineering. Data acquisition methodologies and limitations; fundamentals of various sensor types, such as, accelerometers, strain sensors, force sensors, and displacement transducers; hydraulic loading systems; experimental design and execution; processing of experimentally collected data. Will include a project in which the students will independently study an advance topic related to experimental testing of structural systems. Credit Restriction: Students may receive credit for only CE 564 or CE 664. (DE) Prerequisite(s): CE 262 or equivalent. Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level - graduate.
