BAES 440 - Precision Agriculture Technologies

This course introduces students to the integration of agricultural science, big data analytics, and advanced technologies in precision agriculture. It emphasizes the importance of data-driven decision-making in modern farming practices. Students will explore various aspects of precision agriculture, including data collection methods, sensing technologies, machine learning applications, and data management systems. The course covers novel applications of big data in agriculture beyond genomics, such as climate-smart farming, Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture, and predictive modeling for crop management.
