ENT 481 - Franchising in Action

3 Credit Hours
Franchising is a system for expanding a business and distributing goods and services. It provides an opportunity to operate a business under a recognized brand name and creates a relationship between the brand owner (franchisor) and the local operator (franchisee).  Building on the foundations of franchising, the goal of this course is to explore the process of becoming a franchisee. Through interactions with current franchisees, franchisors, and lenders, students will engage in interactive case study focusing on market need identification, franchise due diligence, business planning, and exploring options for securing funding.

(RE) Prerequisite(s): ENT 480  with a grade of C or better.
