Students in the course will learn the history, traditions, culture, religion, art, society, and the political power of Fulbe (Fulani) people for many centuries in West Africa. They will also learn some basic reading and writing skills in Fulfulde (Fulani). The curriculum emphasizes the development of cultural awareness in concert with competency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
