PHYS 421 - Modern Optics

4 Credit Hours
Transmission of light in uniform, isotropic medi; reflection and transmission at interfaces. Mathematics of wave motion and interference effects. Rudiments of Fourier optics and holography.

Contact Hour Distribution: 3 hours lecture and 3 hours lab.
(RE) Prerequisite(s): PHYS 251  or PHYS 431  with a C or better.
Registration Permission: Consent of instructor.
