SOWK 568 - Advanced Veterinary Social Work2 Credit Hours Concentration elective on the advanced principles and applications of veterinary social work. Builds upon introductory veterinary social work content and strongly utilizes an applications approach to further review and explore research, practice settings, and policy needs in the four areas of veterinary social work. Will engage in service learning, critical thinking and problem-solving methods from a strengths-based, ecological perspective, and teaching through class presentations. Students will also be further challenged to examine their personal views verses their professional social work identity and increase awareness of their strengths and areas of growth for each. (RE) Prerequisite(s): 510, 512, 513, 517, 519, 522, 537, 538, 539 and 567. Comment(s): Advanced Standing satisfies prerequisites. Registration Permission: Non-MSSW students may register with consent of instructor.
