IE 517 - Reliability of Lean Systems

3 Credit Hours
Designing reliability into lean systems. Introduction to lean systems. Impacts of lean on reliability of manufacturing and services and processes. The concepts of reliability engineering utilized to define failures of lean systems. Focus of course work is to examine equipment reliability, human reliability, supply chain reliability and forecasting reliability to develop the reliability of lean systems model. Applications of the model will be via implementation in industry.
