ECE 659 - Digital Systems Verification

3 Credit Hours
Three critical issues for robust digital systems are design errors, manufacturing faults, and failures during operation. This course covers digital system verification, testing, and reliability for both timing and logic, in order to prepare students to deal with these in real designs. Verification will cover formal verification for logic and timing, and contrast with simulation. Methods for generating test vectors, scan testing, and built-in self test will be covered. MTBF will be calculated for several small systems with emphasis on models and their limitations.
(RE) Prerequisite(s): 551.
Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
