Intensive Survey of the Archaeology of Etruria and Rome, Survey of the archaeology of Italy and the Roman world from prehistoric times to the fall of the Roman Empire (1000 BCE- CE 476). Highlights are the rise and decline of Etruscan culture; the development of Roman architecture, art, and urban planning; art and architecture used for political propaganda; and Roman cosmopolitan culture during the Empire.
