ARCH 558 - Materials and Methods in Architecture4 Credit Hours Fundamentals of design implementation introducing properties of interior and exterior building materials and their relation to construction methods and detailing. Theory and practice of material selection and especially detailing, in service of architectural expression, sustainability, aesthetics, spatial order and perception, performance, experience, and meaning. Incorporates seminar sessions exploring a broader culture of technology. Includes a workshop/lab component.
