CMST 509 - Communication and Ethnography

3 Credit Hours
Theory and application of qualitative approaches to communication research. Emphasis is on ethnographic methods to obtain in-depth information about behaviors and beliefs of people in natural settings. Use of methods: structured interviews using heuristic elicitation methodology, participant/observation and case studies.
Credit Level Restriction: Graduate Credit only.
Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – graduate.
